Bruce Ludwick, Jr.

Organist

Bruce Ludwick, Jr. is the organist of University Christian Church. 

He is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Organ Performance with Emphasis in Sacred Music at the University of Texas at Austin, where he studies with Gerre Hancock.  He graduated magna cum laude from West Virginia University in May 2006 with a Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance and Music Education.  He has studied organ with William Haller, David Craighead, and Alan Lewis. 

A native West Virginian, Bruce was formerly organist of Immaculate Conception Parish, Clarksburg, WV, and organist/music director of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Uniontown, PA.  In 2001, he was selected as an E. Power Biggs Fellow of the Organ Historical Society.  He is an active member of the Organ Historical Society and the American Guild of Organists. 

Bruce is active as a choral singer and accompanist, and has special interest in early music repertoire, performance practice, and historical instruments, as well as the study of interaction between liturgy, music, and theology in the church.
